If this blog is on some stupid block list or whatever I wouldn’t be surprised with all thi shit I’m dealing with right now. I don’t talk about this but since tbh I don’t want to get people mad and I know you guys are probably annoyed about it…. But ever since the Miki blog incident I get these anons that say that I’m ether faking this and that if it was real I deserved it (if you are one of them please stop it) some even say that he didn’t do anything wrong…. Some even make sexual comments towards me. I haven’t been drawing lately because of all this and tbh I’m lost… I’m a bit scared but mostly lost…. I wish I could fully express my sorrow…. I know this might sound selfish but I wish I can get more support, trust me I am very grateful for the ones I have it’s just…. I guess I need to get it from someone who understands? Idk……. Can you guys help me????

Oh I’m crying…. My tears are smudgeing the screen…..I guess I gotta end this post then since I can’t see …

Please reblog this too spread the word…. I’ll make a post explaining the whole miki blog incident soon to anyone who’s new or curious….. Please reblog

Although God’s gender is nonexistent, ambiguous, non-binary, the majority of people refer to God with “he” pronouns and masculine imagery. Thus God understands the experience of misgendering.

A trans woman at my friend’s div school (via therewillberest)

I am a Christian and this quote confused me a little. This trans woman is saying that like many transgender people today, God is also misgendered. I agree to an extent that God has no definite gender, and not being a tangible person, gender doesn’t really apply. It makes sense where they would make this comparison. But what left me a little confused was that they used the term “misgender” where (again) gender doesn’t really apply to God.

Of course the Bible says human beings are made in God’s image, but God is not a physical being. The Bible refers more to the image of human nature and our souls, and they are created in God’s image. This whole concept is very debatable, but I feel that this person is indeed right.

I believe the main reason for why God is given names like “Him,” “He,” “Father,” etc. relating to masculine pronouns is because back in older times, males typically reigned superior. They wanted to try to portray God in a way that was as powerful as possible. Since society back then was mainly governed by males and males were viewed as the dominant sex, so to speak, its understandable why they’d think that way. Although, I don’t believe gender is the only variable.

God also created Adam first, who was a man, and then God created Eve, a woman. This whole concept is very confusing as to what the Bible exactly means by “image.” I believe that human beings are created in God’s image in terms of souls. Who knows. Maybe specific aspects of human beings were never really made in the physical image of God, but they were created to his liking.

I personally would rather refer to God as “They” because they are three whole parts: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Bible even talks about God presenting both masculine and FEMININE traits all at once. Even so, no man is entirely masculine and no woman is completely feminine. But I mainly think God is given masculine pronouns in terms of being powerful, not male. I’m not saying femininity is derived from weakness, but feminine refers to a more caring and sensitive nature while masculinity refers more to boldness and being upright. That is why they are called these things in my eyes, mainly to appear greater.

These are just my thoughts on this quote. I know that I am not completely right, but this is mainly the way I looked at this concept. Again, I do agree to an extent with what this person is saying, yet everything revolving around the “gender” of God, where these ideals came from, and the overall purpose of this message is really hard to wrap your head around. I hope I didn’t offend anyone, but this is mainly what I think.
